Harness has two plans. Hobby is free and runs a small studio end to end; Professional removes the student limit and adds the automation. Pricing lives on the Harness website; changing plans is covered in Manage your plan.

What’s on which plan

Everything core is free: the calendar, students (up to 5), attendance-driven charges, manual invoicing and payments, expenses, mileage, and reports. The Professional plan adds:
FeatureWhat it unlocks
Unlimited studentsThe Hobby plan caps at 5 active students.
Online paymentsConnect Stripe so invoices carry a pay link.
Booking linksScheduling links and reschedule links.
Automatic invoicingPer-lesson drafts or the monthly batch; see Run your monthly billing.
Invoice remindersAutomatic and manual nudges on unpaid invoices; see Invoice reminders.
On the Hobby plan, a locked feature shows a lock icon; the rest of the app is unaffected.

The trial

New studios start on a Professional trial, no card required. The card at the bottom of the sidebar counts down the days and links to your plan. When the trial ends you choose: upgrade, or continue on Hobby and keep everything you’ve built (as long as you’re within the student cap).

The 5-student cap

The Students page shows a usage meter (“3 / 5 students”) as you approach the cap. At the limit, the Add student button is disabled and sign-up approvals are blocked until you free a slot or upgrade. Only active students count.

Over the cap when the trial ends

If your trial ends with more than 5 active students, Harness asks you to choose before you continue: upgrade to keep everyone, or pick the 5 students to stay active. The students you don’t pick become locked, and nothing is deleted: their history, records, and balances all stay.

Locked students

A locked student sits in the Inactive tab with a lock badge. While locked, they can only be edited or deleted; there’s no activate or deactivate. Upgrading unlocks everyone at once. Deleting a locked student frees a slot.
